Although I'm not much of a Crappie fisherman, I demonstrate that you can use Garmine Livescope to find brushpiles and know if there are Crappie home. In 3 hrs or so, I find 5 brushpiles that had fish stacked in them. The deeper ones had bigger fish, while the shallower ones had smaller ones. They're now marked on the GPS for future visits to Decker lake. This is fun, enjoy the video. Tim

Very nice Tim. I can show you how to film the screen without the reflections if you wish.

Hi Ernest,
I wish to do that. if you're referring to doing it on Active Captain's Helm feature, it is not possible on the EchoMap serires. I'm open to ideas. Thanks,
Tim

I know about that, cost me a bunch to get a different graph. I will send you the info as soon as I get thru visiting a bunch of doctors.

It has greatly improved my fishing enjoyment. I have a sore neck after every fishing trip from staring at that screen.....

I raised my graph up about to waist high to help with the neck strain.

For filming without the shadows and reflections go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy a piece of outdoor carpeting with a black back.. cut a piece about 18" wide and 3' or 4 ' long, .create a circle with it. set the circle around the graph and gopro. reflections will be blocked out but you can still see the graph from above. I noticed you have two livescopes on the boat in this video. You can also simply place a cardboard box over the graph and camera that you want to record with.

Ernest, great idea. Thank you, basically building a light shield around it. what a pain to have to do that; I'll see if there is an "acceptable look" vs the benefit of no shadow recording. Thanks for the ideas.
