I have one and do not have all the bugs worked out yet. I spoke with Matt and think I am on the right path now thanks. One question I still have as with any graph, what would you think about raising it up off the floor? Mine is a touch screen and I have to kneel down to touch it, I also feel it would be a lot easier to see if it were waist high. I used to fish with a hand steer trolling mtr and had no problem with the pro stick standing up there. I know it would need to fold down for transport as well as boat cover. Any thoughts? thanks in advance

I built this one for my boat. Just being up a foot off the deck makes a ton of difference.

exactly but I was thinking waist high? pros and cons?
I wonder if you could install another seat pedestal and use a seat riser?

I would think you would smack your rod constantly on anything taller than knee high. Fishing rod just to be clear.

You could always try it and then just cut the legs off if you decide that it is too high

Only works with garmin unit and no the unit does not come with the transducer. Units are 600$ and up that are compatible depending on which one you get.

I just purchased one last week. I bought Garmin screen that said it was compatible with Panoptix. After getting everything hooked up. It would not work. After being on the phone with Garmin for 2 hrs. They told me I had an older nav unit that wouldnt work. I had to get a touchscreen unit to get it to work. I ordered a mount from bass boat technologies.

Cant wait to get it on the water to see how it works.

I would recommend a 10" or 12" head unit. Although the Echomap + 7" and 9" are compatible. I've got mine on a 1042xsv and Echomap Ultra 106sv, both 10".

You do not have to have a touch screen to have livescope. 1042 and 1242 work fine.
