Back in the market for another boat! Been doing research on 40-90hp outboards and feel like the etec’s are the way to go. Anyone unhappy with theirs?

Any 2 stroke is going to be a powerhouse. I have an etec 90 on a Seaark 1872. I love it. I especially like the 300 hr maintenance intervals.

Have a Gen 1 175hp going on it’s third season. No issues yet and still have over 7 more years of warranty.

A lot of the guys I duck hunt with hate there’s and there always in the shop having something fixed. 40-90 is a big range if I was looking 40-60 I’d go with the new tohatsh 60 that’s 217 lbs the 90 game is completely different though
