"Latecomers I guess"
It's 2019 Bob Yes, I remember that now. So was this Deadwood like in 1953 or something? Here is the EB guy Willam Sanderson. He was also Larry, who had a brother named Darryl, and another brother named Darryl. Yes he sure was. Newhart. Also Lippy Jones in Lonesome Dove

Thanks a lot Bob, was up WAY past my bedtime watching! I wasn't aware of how many ways and how many times in a sentence a person could use the F bomb. Cheers, George

It is vulgar, and makes you wonder if they really spoke that way back in those times. The contrast between proper English grammar and verbage and the obscenities mixed in is funny in its own right. The acting is some of the best I've ever seen. The preacher faithful to the very end, the Doc questioning God on the dementia of the preacher, Calamity Jane and Charley Utter mourning the death of their friend Wild Bill. Some serious acting there for sure. I saw a documentary on the series a few years ago. They did quite a bit of research on the language of that period including the expressions, vulgarity, and terms such as hooples, hoople heads, and others.
Biden famously said in the New York Observer, โI mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, thatโs a storybook, man.โ

I managed to get all three seasons in since Bob originally posted this. What a great show. Might have to sign up for the free HBO trial after the movie comes out. I also read there was a second movie slated.

We are on the 3rd episode of that one.

Man I sure thought someone would've smoked Hearst on the way out of town!!! Cheers, George I know. Tolivar had his derringer out and I'm thinking, no way would he make that shot with a derringer. Now Cy Tolivar, that varmint was just evil incarnate. Swearingen talking to that Indian head in the box was greatness.
