Are fish biting topwaters yet? Are they south of the bridge working under birds at all? Can you catch them trolling yet?

Went last friday, brother and I fished both sides of bridge trolling. He caught 4 stripers south of bridge then we went over by cedar creek, I caught 3 and lost 2 that straightened my swivels, my fault. 8:30-11:30am. Did not see ant top water action in that area. Lot of boats fishing with shad.

Had to do a lot of searching today but finally found a big school of stripers to 12lbs. They wouldn't touch a live perch. All fish caught on 2 oz slabs. Once the school broke up they pretty much shut down but stayed in the area in small schools. The water was very clear especially on the lower end near the dam. It was fairly stained but not muddy around McCown but go south and the water cleared up really good. Lots of leaves and some floating logs scattered.

I would imagine a lot of ramps will be closing today or sometime this week. McCown closed yesterday but according to the booth attendant they did not put up the orange pylons in time so we were able to launch there but when I left the Park Rangers and the game wardens were on the water together.

Yessir it was a huge and aggressive school. The water was so clear we could see about 10 more stripers chasing the hooked fish

All of the Corp ramps are closed. You might be able to launch at one of the private marinas.
