Awesome post. Glad you guys got into some nice fish. Bet that carp fight was AWESOME! Love fishing both of those rivers. Good job. Side Note: Did you see any Rios?

Thanks, I didn't see any Rios. I'm still waiting catch my first one. The carp fight was a lot of fun. It didn't fight much till it realized what was happening but then gave me a good couple of runs. It was the first good sized fish I have had on my 4wt fiberglass.

Great post Mitt 78. I love fishing those rivers and I love using my fly rod. What color were the flies you were using? Also were you fishing from a kayak? Again great post. Good job guys!

I was using a red silliworm with brown dubbing with a few wraps of lead wire, a Llano bug with brown foam, black dubbing and yellow legs, and a cats whiskers with green marabou, gray chenille and crystal flash. The silliworm was really the most productive fly of the day. We wade fished both rivers. Really nice post. Enjoyed reading it and seeing the pics. Thanks for sharing. Thanks

Thanks Thanks for the information. Brown,Red,Black, and Yellow are the colors that have gotten good results for me. I use my 3 weight a lot on the sunfish and love it. I have already caught a couple of Rios off of the Blanco this year. The Rio bite is starting to pick up. I also love wade fishing and kayak fishing as well.
