Fished Whitney Tuesday....

Was a tough day for us...

BUT, the lake below the Katy Bridge is incredibly clear. We were amazed. On humps, could see their tops in 12 feet of water. Could see schools of fish.. mostly buffalo, carp or gar.....

I saw the Whitney like this only one other year and we had a great fishing year that year....

I heard the Bohemian Bass Classic put on by the West Bass Club is May 19th, did not confirm this but have heard from a couple sources.

Fished it today and it was tough. Caught four small ones and one that went 7 lbs. All on plastics and very light bites. Lake was extremely clear and carp everywhere. Did not get many bites at all. Hope it improves.

whitney was this clear last year as well. We could see the stripers chasing jigs and spoons below the boat at least 10 feet down. It was like fishing offshore in the gulf. cruising around the island was like looking in an aquarium, the clearest I have ever seen it

That's awesome to hear about the water being nice again. That damn Golden Algae really did a number on Whitney.
