 Transducer for Aluminum Boat

I have a little 15 aluminum boat that I've mounted and broken two transducers (Lowrance puck type) off the transom in shallow stumpy water.
Can anyone suggest a better way or location to mount the transducer?
is there a thru hull transducer made for alum boats?

The only sonar that works through aluminum is Vexilar.

in my old Xpress, i kept busting off the tranducer to my LMS332. I figured that, since it was busted anyway, let's see if i can shoot it through the hull. it was the transom mount skimmer style transducer. Worked flawlessly, until i sold the boat a couple years later.
