So I just purchased a Lowrance Elite 7 ti 2 and turned it on and the chart wont come up with the C map I went to settings and clicked on C Map US base and scroll over to lake Conroe and it doesn't show nothing on the map but light blue. Is there something im missing not turning on right?

Have you posted in the General Equipment Section? If not ask your question there, those guys have helped me several times when I had trouble with my electronics.
I have an Elite Ti 12 and Ti 9 on my boat. I've never had any issues with my mapping, so have nothing to suggest to your problem.

Wouldn't be surprised if that lake isn't mapped with C-Map. I have one of their cards that came with an Elite 9Ti and put it up for sale. With no takers I put it in my unit. Local lake has like 3 contour lines with it. It's no wonder Lowrance is giving them away with a purchase.

I think this could be the problem, last I remember reading, Texas isn�t mapped very well with the C-map.

tmd is correct, Conroe is not mapped with C-Map, only with C-Map Enhanced. You will need to use the Navionics chip that came with the unit. P_102

Oh ok I went online and looked at c map genesis and Conroe was on it. Well that sucks. Thanks for the reply. I did put it in general equipment section like 3 days ago.

F Y I..... I found if you going to call Lowrance you must call between 8am and 8:15am, other wise you will be on hold for a long time. YOU WILL MOST LIKEY GET PEGGY!

Ok thank you, I may put my chip in from my hds 8 into elite 7 and buy a new chip for my hds 8. What chip is best for texas lakes? Navionics? I know there is platinum and stuff just not sure what one I need.

A Navionics chip should have come in the box with your Elite 7. Not true. Lowrance offers them without any card at all, Navionics card is an upcharge.

This is true. I got an Elite 9 with the Navionics chip. Not sure mine was a dud but I had to go to the Lowrance site and actually download the map for the region I wanted to fish.

Did you try to zoom out. Also new units come with navionics mapping in the box. Phone issue is exactly why I buy Hummingbird.
