What faze of the spawn are the fish on Fork in? Haven't been to Fork in years and trying to decide on making a trip.

From my time on the water today it's safe to say they are in all 3 stages of it still.

I was there Monday and didn't see one fish on a bed so I'm gonna agree with Mark. I'm sure somewhere there are bedding fish, somewhere there are some on the way ( the ones I was fishing for ) and somewhere they are all done.

Only got a couple of hours on the water. Saw a few on beds but they were really spooky. Water temps have come up a lot the past 3 days. Almost a 10 degree jump in some spots. Saw 76 degree water in a couple of areas. Most was 69-73 degrees.
Fish were biting funny. Most consistent bite was a hollow body frog. Had a couple pitching at shallow cover. No big fish.

We fished for a few hours this afternoon. They were still pretty locked in one place we went. And not so much in another. Some wanted to play and some did not. Water was pretty murky. Made them kinda hard to see. We did find one big girl and my wife caught her! Shes addicted to sight fishing. Lol.

Yet on Sunday it was not for me. Lots of males getting ready. Also some males guarding fry. Water temps went from 60 on Thursday, 65 on Sunday, and 72 today. The cold front coming in Thursday should make things interesting next weekend.

I'm not seeing any beds but yesterday my fish (slot fish) were caught casting a weightless watermelon red Yamamoto Senko into pockets in the grass, cattails, etc.,letting it sit and then dragging it very slowly It depends on the slope of the bank, depth of the water and the type of grass. At least from what I can tell. They are probably biting everything all over the lake in shallow water.

Gonna be a busy weekend out there for a leisure trip. Think 3 different tournaments.
