This was my 1st season fishing for trout below the dam and limited out twice (but took a while), saw several limits each time. So with a lower flow I would assume they are easier to catch?

Texdan: You did great getting a limit on the Guadalupe this stocking season. This by far was the fastest river flow I have fished in. As already been stated the river flow was between 800 to 1000 plus CPS. The ideal flow would be between 350 to 450 CPS. I have caught plenty of fish in fast current but catch much more in the slower current. Hopefully there will be no MAJOR FLOODING this year and a descent let out of water at the Canyon Trail Race this upcoming season. thumb

I fished the trail race a lot this past stocking season and was only able to limit out three times. The season before I limited out every time I fished there. The let out at Canyon Dam this past season was brutal to say the least. Any one getting a limit at the trail race this last season did very very good!
