I have been watching the weather and of course there is a chance for rain on the 13th, not looking like anything severe so far but who knows. I have reserved the pavilion at the subdivision where I live (10 minutes from Log Cabin Ramp) as a back up location for the fish fry, it is a huge awning and plenty of room for parking with trailers. What I'm wanting to know from y'all is, should we just make this plan A? We could even do weigh in there too if we wanted. I can't get the people at log cabin to tell if there will be any electricity available to us as there will be a bass tourney on the same day we are there and I think they have dibs on the electricity. I do have small generator. Up to yall. Doesn't cost anything to rent the pavilion and I already have it reserved whether we use it or not. It's seriously 10 minutes from Log Cabin. (we have decided to go with this as plan A^^^^^) Also, want to make sure all are on the same page with everything so here goes: fishing starts at 7 am, weigh in is at noon at Cherokee Shores Pavillion next to the P.O.A. office (maps below) Saturday April 13th Cost is $50 per team / boat (you can have as many people as you want in your boat but keep it legal and safe) No registration, just pay at weigh in (all money from entry fees goes to charity) There is a $10 big fish pot that pays to 1 winner / team with the largest fish (it is assumed that every team / boat is in the pot, so don't try get out of paying just because you know you didn't win ) We will have several prizes for winners to choose from in order of their place in the tournament. I will be at the Log Cabin Ramp at about 5:30 or 6 that morning. Please call or text if you are coming and haven't let me know yet. Kevin Ely 214-five oh two-0861 Things that we have covered: Fish & french fries fryer, oil & propane plates & paper towels hush puppies Cole slaw tables (everyone needs to bring their own chair) As for things we may need help with: Case of bottled water (or 2) couple jugs of tea any kind of side dish or dessert Does anyone know how to make crappie cakes? Plasticware

Kevin, I plan to be there with a partner. The pavilion idea sounds great to me. We would be set come rain or shine. Just need a location and/or directions.

I think the pavilion would be the way to go. 10 minutes is not a big deal.

Have to agree. The pavillion would be best. That way there is no guessing on the weather.
Keep on fishing.

Working on a decent map to show how to get there. Will try to post it tomorrow.
So, do y'all want to do weigh in and all at the pavillion? I think we should. Having the fish fry there is going to make my life alot easier. Now I just pull boat up to the house after done fishing, hop in my truck and drive up to the pavillion.

Weigh in at the pavilion. We'll find it. No need to weigh in at one spot and then travel to another for the fellowship and food. This is a fun trip.

As for spreading the ashes, I haven't got that figured out yet. Jigums Brothers are only coming to the fish fry, I guess I will have them follow me to my house and load them up in my boat & go spread his ashes. I guess if you want, you can drop your boat back in and meet us out there if anyone wants to.

We are going to be glad that are using the pavilion, I just went up there to confirm everything and checked it out good. It's gonna work perfect. It's about 20' x 60' with ceiling fans. Plugs on corner posts, rest rooms about 40 feet away and more than enough room for several trucks with trailers. Please call if you are having any trouble or have any doubts about finding it. Went to Basham's last week and got the hushpuppies, I'm ready, get the grease fired up! yes sir, we may not get to fish much but we gonna eat some fresh Crappie, Fries and Hushpuppies! Hopefully the rain will hold off till the after noon for us. Hell if I have to, I'll go fish on my neighbors dock, I know I can catch a few to bring to weigh in.
