My dad and I once caught a monkey in a minow Seine. Dad always carried an envelope of cash in his glove box because, "You never know what you'll find out there.". Most of the things he brought home ran long enough to get off the trailer then never ran again.

My mom had the room of furniture that you couldnt sit on. Seemed stupid to me but looking back i realize that she was poorish growing up so it makes more sense.
My dad ate some weird stuff on a regular basis. Cheese and onions, malt vinegar on fried eggs, i guess it was a new england thing
When we travelled, we absolutely had to stop at stuckeys for that white pecan log, blech
They always messed with the landscaping in the front yard, and it always looked like shizzle. They had zero landscaping ability

My parents had sex, at least twice that I can prove. It doesn't get any more odd than that. I walked in on my parents testing the sturdiness of the dining room table. Took a very long time for me to be able to eat at any dining room table.

Sorry but no joke, kind of a boring story, and it involved both my mother and Dad. It was in the 80's, we had a REALLY tall TV antenna tower, like 80 feet. We got 6 channels instead of two. They were the same pograms. Yay. Anyway, a family about a mile up the road from us had a pet Rhuses (sp?) monkey. It escapaed and wound up playing King Kong on our TV antenna one Saturday morning.. We decided to catch it, but it was like trying to catch a buzz saw. Dad sent me to the shed for the minnow seine. Once we were in position, I guess, how does one position to catch a monkey in a minnow seine? Anyway, we were set up at the base of the tower, he sent Mom up to shoo the creature down. He wasn't too far up, about 15 feet or so. Any higher he would have sent me. Monkey came down the tower and hit the seine. Dad twisted right, I twisted left, and we had a monkey in a minnow seine. We threw the whole mess in the back of the truck and took it back "home." I never saw my minnow seine again.

My stepmother was a Jehovah's Witness and my stepfather was a devout Atheist. Try living around that. Argued all the time over religion but managed to stay married for 50 years. It seems odder to me that your stepmother was married to your stepfather My stepdads a cop and my stepmoms a domme ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2019/04/full-35175-7924-cf6e6302_20ab_41be_9f44_1e3e1c1f320d.jpeg)

That is awesome ! where did this happen ? Cedar Springs, it was tomato farm country back then. About 35 miles SE of Waco, in Falls County. I'm sure you've been there. It's between Pleasant Grove and Wilderville. lol Thinking back, it may have been about '78 or '79.

My parents were just regular folks, straight and narrow. My brother and I not so much. Brother made a set of stilts, Tom walkers, so big he had to get on the roof to get on them. Also the first kid that had a steering wheel on his bicycle. Meantime I was out at night stealing watermelons and sneaking in to the waste water plant riding on the machinery. Never been in jail though, can't say the same for my bro.
I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed. Conscience never acquits, it either accuses or excuses.
