12 solids between 377 and the hole yesterday, today graphed something on the way to 377 and caught some massive females. Down about 1 mile from 377 in a pool, stacked like bricks. Caught on white jig. Sorry to say didn't keep any.. one male caught in that spot. . Didn't make any sense, hole showed hard bottom but the banks were mud.. Easy to overlook.. Prob caught my PB for a sandy today.. Going back tomorrow but not taking big boat so will go up between 377 and the hole for some males. Fishing slowed down below the hole since 6 days ago. But still good.

@2-stroke - I remember seeing you head up the river, I was the bank fisherman braving the cold down from 377, fish weren't biting at my location. When I showed up the carp were heavy along the banks, guess that should have been a sign to head to the cafe for some hot breakfast. Also saw Phil heading up the creek with a father and son braving the cold. P.S. thank you for slowing down when running up the river and being courteous those on the bank.

Tuesday: Canoe: Water above the hole is crystal clear. Caught one above the hole and worked up about a mile with nothing.. water flow low and clear, too clear for me. Came back down until the clarity dropped and started catching fish. Tiny trap worked well reeling very slow (bumping the bottom). Yesterday (kayak) did same and was good about 1/4 mile down until the first boat came thru. Two boats went up and it turned off. Worked down picking up stragglers here and there slightly above currrent and below current.. The long stretches of slow water were slow except for one. Strange sight seen, dark brown water flowing from this creek into the main body.. fishing was no good in this mix.. Creek: https://goo.gl/maps/BXHKH464XT42 dont know where the water was coming from but it was flowing pretty strong and stunk bad. (Followed map to water treatment plant, brown water) You could see a big change in the water.. Would stay between 377 and the hole. If you see a gar roll keep moving, the fish will shut down in that spot. May have caught a few females up, total 33 from 9am-2pm, threw all back. Prosise

Would a person be able to make it up past the bridge in a 16' 6" fiberglass fish-n-ski? (safely that is)

I got all the way up to the last shallow spot before the hole in my 16'3" tracker before I couldn't go any farther on Sunday. I don't think you could make it that far but it doesn't matter, they are stacked between 377 and the hole anyways. Not when that far. Just find little pockets along the way and you will catch fish.

I have fished it twice in the last 2 weeks. Me and a buddy had 42 last week and had 30 yesterday. Having to really finesse them up due to the clear water and fishing pressure. My buddy did catch a female yesterday but the rest were males. Seems there is a certain thing that holds them from what I can tell.

Me and my son took the canoe out yesterday. Went up about 1/2 mile below the hole and noticed the rain from Saturday had elevated the water flow a skosh. The color of the water was not bad either. Wasn't getting hits on the usual worm & tiny ratl-trap. Saw several fish chasing the bait but not biting.. Changed to a Correction: 1/32 oz jig head, and scaled down the size of the worm to about as small as I could. Had to bite the front of the jig off to get it to fit on the hook. Fished it as slow as I could and barely work the jig on the bottom. Worked well, we had 39 nice fish, and released "many" right at the 10" and below size. All males, no females. Saw many with a few on the stringer but fish are getting used to all the norm. No females seen at any water I fished. Forgot to add: Gar are out in full force. I was able to catch fish but this is might be why I had to finesse them. Also, three spots i was fishing and catching fish at shutdown completely when a boat came thru. took about 20 mins for the fish to come around. I was using a electric trolling motor and had no probs. Please, If you are coming up in a boat drop the trolling motor if you see someone fishing. If you are wondering why its so slow give the spot some time to recover from your motor. Saw a boat possibly damage his engine trying to go up a shallow step. Sucked something into the lower unit.. Be safe, and starting to see the Damn SkEETos Prosise

Prosise This happens on the main lake too. .Especially when they are spawning. Yesterday, on Lewisville, the graph would be reading normal with no "fish" but there were areas where the bottom was a solid, bold line. These were fish. Very easy to overlook. But they are there.

Had good day.. Went up to the hole, fishing slowed down since sunday. Caught @10 with a guy I met, think his name is David. Left him with my fish and came down. Fished my way down and still had trouble getting bites with my normal white jig and tiny trap. Pulled out the tiny jig and started catching fish, very slow and not fast paced at all. Picked up 4 crappie, 15 whites, and two cats.. Thought i hooked a gar on the big cat, 4lb test was fun. Found rhe crappie in the shaded areas at 1230pm here. https://goo.gl/maps/kcE79Dv1HVQ2 worked down and ran into big females, and a bunch of them. They are moving.. Thought it was a fluke, but after 12 of them I was convinced. FEMALES RELEASED.... They were here: https://goo.gl/maps/gPEds13T7qP2 Will be seeing them up soon. Gar are out, but the finess worm worked again.. Did see a guide boat pretty close to the second step below the hole, but they left and didn't see them again Btw, all fish except two sandies were caught on the 1/32oz jig/worm just barely working it off the bottom. I don't use live bait which would be a killer.. Did see two men using a sein for bait, bait is about 1 inch long which I think explains the results of the small artificial. Talked to a friend who did well down by the 377 bridge. He was Using minnows and limited in 2 hrs.. boat cannot get in here, but walkers can. Big fish seen in his pix. Fished it today for a while and had 20 sandies a crappie and a catfish. Bite was pretty slow... we need a flood. Just curious prosise, did you keep all males? Ran into the guide as well and proceeded to catch 5 sandies where he was fishing when I pulled up lol. Caught them all on a glow fin a Shad on a 1/16 oz head.

Yes i kept all all the males over 10ish, until i had 25 for the day.. Gave 10 away earlier that day.. I think when i was checking all the fish later there was a small female.. But the large ones were released. The crappie location I mentioned in the earlier post is prob my favorite area. The top half of that section holds fish, the lower section is gar central.. the small pool below this section has a real good deep spot, right below the log.. Hold on with the FLOOD word.. I have been talking about that with my buddies, a flood would wash it all away.. Don't want any of that.. The rain last saturday gave it a little help.. Will be out on sunday with my son, if you see us give me a shout..
