Went fishing today with Tom Gravely on Lewisville. Fishing for blues is much different than channels. We used fresh caught shad and yes we caught a good number of fish. As always I learned a good bit about foshingvwith Tom. If folks want to have a good time close to home then Tom is your mam on the lake.

Have never fished with Mr.Gravely but have seen many of his post over the years. Seems he is just about always on some nice fish. Have always enjoyed reading his post and seeing his catches. Glad you had a nice time.

I'm gonna tell you something the newer guys may not know about Tom.
First off he has always enjoyed putting people on fish.

He is just a good guy. Genuinely.

I remember that there were many times he would go fishing by himself and when he saw someone bankfishing near the boat ramp, he would offer to take them out with him, sometimes a guy and his kids, sometimes a guy alone.
And not just country boys that looked like him either, he took anybody.
He also took many a newbie on this catfish section out and got us started catching bigger and more fish than ever before.
And I learned this over the years from other guys like me that joined the forum, not from him.

I was one of those newbies--

We called him the "PB machine" because so many of us caught our personal best catfish with Tom.
And all he wanted was to see the excitement on your face, especially kids.
And most of the time he wouldn't take any money to help him with fuel, saying he was going anyway.

I was very happy to see him start guiding and getting paid to take people fishing, the man really wants you to catch fish.
Many of the guides I have met are really good guys, but I wanted to pass that info on to some that may not have known Tom as "The PB machine".

Tom is just an overnight sensation from about 20 years ago. He gets fabulous results at Lewieville, Tawakoni,or wherever he is fishing. Commonly known as "time on the wate"r or KNOW HOW. Way to go Tom.

Glad Tom showed you a good day! One thing about Tom is that when the fishing gets slow you know you are �one more Smoke� away from the next bite! Lol! And, the catfish are always hungry for those gummies!

I guess Tom is ok LOL!!.....Tom is dang Good People for sure!!!....Also called "The Professor"!!!....Glad he took you out there and taught you some good tips!!!

AND.... he can do remodeling for you if your in the need!!!

Years ago, before he started guiding he volunteered to take my brother and I out catfishing after he heard my boat was in the shop. I'll always remember that nice gesture. Tom, if you ever pass through Alabama, let me treat you to a day on the TN River.

Tom is good people, and a helluva catfisherman too.

The one thing I have figured out about these dang fish is when you think you have them figured out, they go and change everything up!!!!!
