Post your rig that you last used! Despite the good weather, I haven’t been getting out on the bank much, I have been fishing less, and blanking when I do so I figured I’d post a picture or two of a rig I tied up. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2019/04/full-106742-7676-9f089716_be1a_41b0_8559_8dd323ca4cce.jpeg) A combination of packbait, and PVA boilies. Boile on the hair. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2019/04/full-106742-7677-1a3df05d_088f_4f09_b839_596891f46a2c.jpeg) Boilies soaked in Korda Goo Tutti Fruti ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2019/04/full-106742-7678-ff4f665f_f602_44b0_9c71_299ff5a39c73.jpeg)
Give a man a fish he can eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and you can get rid of him for the entire weekend!

Just learning...my rig is too basic for pics. My situation is different...fishing straight down off the back of my boat at Ray Hubbard in 25 ft. I use mostly boiled deer corn...ground bait and bait...and I mush some in to the pack bait I make from oats and Fruit Loops. A couple of plugs...I really like hair rigs because I'm lip hooking the occasional catfish. Also, I'm using Okuma XT level wind reels....no casting....just straight down...and I really like the star drag because I have to adjust often to keep fish away from snagging other boats, etc. Finally, I bought a couple of Angler 7ft casting rods from Academy for like $13 each, and I'm impressed. Wanted fiberglass....I would have broke graphite by now. Here's my biggest buff to date...may need to use that luggage scale my wife has...and I could really use a bigger net. Need to learn how to post the pic instead of the link. [img] https://imgur.com/wcLpSOo[/img]

Fixed it for ya Bob! You have to right click the photo in Imgur and hit "copy image address" then paste that. I'll post my rig once here once I get off work. Nice fish btw!

Here's my rig, I like to keep it pretty simple. Sometimes I'll have the kicker you see at the eye of the hook and sometimes I won't. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/EUsrOml.jpg)

Just reread your post Bob, if you're looking for a net for your situation this one is a bit pricey but from what I've heard bulletproof! Cabela's Magnum Rubber NetHere's a review from another carper:

Finley, thanks for the net info. Cabela's web site is pretty confusing on what nets are available. Bass Pro has these in stock in Garland. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/frabill-trophy-haul-landing-netI like a few things better based on my situation...like the hauling handle in the hoop. I really don't think I could haul any decent sized buff with a 96 " extension...48 " seems reasonable.
