What batteries are the best for this amp eating Ulterra? Find myself limping around on #10 at the end of day. Running Delco 31’s now with 105 amp hours. Looking for something that will stay up on a long day. What are y’all doing with your Ulterra. Don’t say get a backup paddle. Already had that one said. Not running the Talon and Hunningbirds on my tm batteries.

I'm running plain old Interstate gp27 lead acids on my 24v Ulterra. Just started my 3rd year on them. In a 4-5hour trip I seldom use more than 25% of the capacity.

I have a single 36v cell 40 amp hour Lithium Pros. Weighs 26# i think.
I am a full time guide on the coast. I had a double today. Pulled up to our spot at the end of the jetties amd hit the anchor button. I have a 26ft large boat with ttop. High winds, high currents, 6 anglers plus me.....its a lot of mass to keep anchored. Fished first group anchored all day. Ran them back, picked up second group of 6, ran them back to the spot and hit anchor again. It lasted all day in that high wind high current and constant wave action etc. Pretty awesome.

Sounds like you have a problem somewhere. the Ulterra as well as the Terrovas I have had in the past are very efficient and I have never ran a battery down whether it was a 12v to 36v system. Right now I have 2 Interstates 27 or 29 group that are over 3 years old and I can get multiple 10 hour days out of them if I need to on a 24v Ulterra. One day regardless of how much I use it would never start getting low

Almost 4 years with 3 Exide 31MCDST from academy. All I run is my ulterra on them. Sounds like your on board charger might have a bad bank.

I would test batteries for a full charge on each then test them under a load to look for a bad cell or something. Have you checked your wiring and made sure you have the correct gauge wire?

I keep 5 optima blue top 34 in my box for my Ulterra. 3 for the TM, 1 for starter, 1 for everything else and as a jumper for the battery that goes first. I keep a minn kota tester handy to see my voltage when one goes down. In a few seconds I will know which battery to jumper (with standard jumper cables) to the extra battery. I go from about 1.8mph to 2.9mph instantly. I'm down about 2 minutes for the whole ordeal. Happens one time, then I replace the battery. The Optima batteries are often small enough to get an extra battery in the box. Right now, I keep a 6th battery on deck. But after the spawn, I can get by any day with just 5 batteries. I have a 4 bank charger with 10 amps on each bank and a Stealth II charger that charges a little extra while I run.

^^^This^^^ No way should you be running your batteries down that quickly. My money is on a bad cell. I had the same problem with 1.5 year old Excides, had a bad cell in one which ended up killing the second battery. Switched to Duracell AGM's and it was a night and day difference.

Your local auto parts store can do a load test on your batteries and find the culprit.
