I will be heading to Fork April 16-21st., do you guys think spawn will be done, or still chances to catch prespawners on southern end south of 515 bridge? Im hearing bass are being caught on bed now. Was there for 9 days the first week of March and water temps stayes in upper 40’s to around 52. Some places warmed up for us our last day but it was brutal fishing. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

There will still be fish in all 3 stages of the spawn by then.

Yes. They really just started about 2 weeks ago. Look more South about that time.

Yep, I've caught'em on beds the 3rd week of Feb. and also the 1st week of June all in the same cove. Not enough shoreline for them all to spawn at the same time back then. I don't think they all come to shore anymore. Ken A. said he's seen them spawn on the cross members under the bridges. Dreabon Joiner says they spawn on tree limbs. I believe them both.

Thanks for the info! We have fished Fork the first couple weeks of March the last 20+ year and have had great success. Last year my brother caught a share a lunker and win the 5k bass pro fift card at the Bass Fest in Austin. We have caught many big fish over the years but never could hit double digits. My PB is 9.8. My brother brike his PB with an 8.5 and last year broke it on first day with 9.7....2 days later caught the 13.00. This is our first time fishing this late in the spawn. Making a return trip cause this last teip was brutally cold and super windy. Itching to get back.
