It's 3 days away from Crappiefest where $34,000 will be up for grabs!!! A single fish could put $13,750 in your pocket - $5,000 if you place first + $7,500 if you are the only one to weigh a 3 pound fish + $1,250 if you are a Crappie Anglers of Texas member!! There are so many ways you can win!! If you are the first person to weigh a fish that weighs exactly 1.00, 1.25, 1.50, 1.75 or 2.00 pounds you will receive a check for $500!! If you aren't the first to weigh an exact weight, you will receive a check for $200!! We will be drawing 4 random weights at the end of the awards presentation that will pay $250 to the angler that has a weight closest to, but not over, the weights we draw. And, we pay the top 20 weights!! The top ten places will automatically qualify for Crappie Anglers of Texas State Championship to be held on Lake Fork on October 11-12!!

Weather forecast keeps getting better each day I look at it. Accuweather shows the winds staying fairly calm out of SW till about noon and temps staying in the 60s during tournament hours. So by the time Saturday gets here we might have some anglers fishing In their speedos and bikinis.

I've been watching the weather. If it doesn't clear up, I won't be taking my son out in it.

Be selective and creative on your ramp selection, if weather is a concern for you.
There are TONS of ramp options on Fork.
Check the weather and pick one that will enable you to avoid the majority of rough conditions and give you a quick exit if needed.
There is ALWAYS a viable ramp option, no matter how bad the weather gets.
Lightning is the only thing keeping me off the lake, if I really want to fish.

So far we have gotten our fair share of 2#ers......but no 3#ers! BUT..... someone has caught and released a 3#+!!!! Bringing some of my 2# fish home to mold!!!! I hope someone connects tomorrow for the BIG bucks!!!!
