We got them in Lew a few years back. Fishing is on the upswing, not positive its the mussels but its not all doom and gloom at this point.

Ivie is as clear right now as it has been in years. I am not sure it is not because of the new water and less about the zebra mussels, but she is pretty.

Zebra's are like a free snack for fish. Most of the issues they cause are with home owners who have docks and keep boats in the water all year and the pipes that take the water from the lakes get overrun with them.... Which prob is not cheap to remove lol

There fairly good indication they make the fishing better, them clogging the pipes going to the water treatment plants is why they are portrayed as the devil.

I suspect they're in most Texas lakes.

The more water in this lake the clearer it gets, the water coming in right now is crystal clear.

Few fish being caught but it is far from great. Ive not been on the lake and dont plan on it for a while, looks good from my back porch with all the new water.

There is this green algae that seems to be covering everything right now. Had to pull that [censored] off my lure after every cast this past weekend. But, the water is crystal clear, I cant recall the last time I could see that deep...

Yeah we were down last weekend. The fishing was tough to say the least. The green algae/moss definitely got annoying. Pretty much any tree or bush your lure hit, if it wasn't a fish you might as well reel it up and clean it off and chunk it back out there.
