Early spring is always so exciting and filled with anticipation for really great fishing days!
In the last couple of days the water temperature on the main lake is reaching a little over 60 degrees and we are starting to catch a few sandbass on a few of the regular spots in depths of 20 to 24ft. On slabs.

It's probably just the first wave of fish coming out of the creeks but it sure lights a fire under a old fisherman!

I'm catching the Bluecat pretty good in shallow water and managing a hybrid or two while catfishing on fresh shad!

Shad is still pretty hard to catch but I'm managing enough for my trips.

Crappie are really hitting up shallow I've seen some real good stringers lately.

When it's like this every day gets a little bit better and than a big Norther blows in and we take two steps back.

I've got a few days left to book for the springtime fishing, give me a call and let's go fishing soon!

Bob Holmes longest running fishing guide on the lake and still the lake record holder!
