Any tips or advise fishing Galveston bay or jetties. Not sure what’s bitting or where. Thanks in advance!! I’ve been a few times with a guide and with my own boat. Have a 20 ft center console. So any advise on fishing spots or what bait bait will be great.

When are you going?
Bay fishing for trout and reds has been hit and miss with these crazy weather swings, giant moons making giant tides, and high winds with these fronts. The current stable weather and warming trend will help.

Find the prey and the predators wont be far behind. Ran the boat over 20 miles the other day and i bet i didnt see 20 mullet. Kept running.... reds are in some of their typical shallow haunts for this time of year. Grind, run, and gun and you will find some trout too. Use the big tide flushing areas and wind to your advantage. The fish certainly are.

Jetties have been turning on.

Get Troutsupport.com his videos will help you. Also get Reef Recon from Troutsupport. Incredibly powerful fishing tools. Like going with a guide every time you watch and Reef Recon will help you use your fishing time fishing prime structure.

Report back let us know how you do?

I’m headed down to Galveston tonight. I Hope to be on the water by 7 in the morning. I know last time I went out with a guide we hit the back water and fished for some reds then did some reefs. It turned out pretty good. Thanks for the tips on trout support.

It was great weekend. It took some time figuring out the right set up with the help of few local guides. What seemed to work great was live or dead shrimp using just a split shot weight 1/4 ounce about 2 foot from the hook. Tried pop corks and had zero luck Saturday afternoon landed about 25 fish in hour and a [Linked Image]

half. Most was sheephead. Few big drum and some reds. Sunday morning caught 15 sheep head in hour missed about ten more I’m guessing.
