Anybody ever fished for crappie at purtis creek? Thinking about going Saturday.

Have friends that fish it regularly. Wore them out at the pier of State Park last Monday and Tuesday.

Yes years ago as I grew up in GBC and fished it. Lots of crappie. Fish the north end pier and cove there. Lots of cat tails too. If you have a boat stick and move stick and move till you find them. Try stumps , cut backs and deep banks.

There is plenty of standing timber there and I think the rule there is you can only idle your big motor across the lake.
