So last year I bought a used 2017 Nitro Z19 sport (fish and ski). This boat works for me and my family, since we have a lake house on PK, and cruise around in the summer and have people out. Most of the time though, I'm using it alone or with a co-angler fishing dfw lakes. This year i've got the funds to buy an Ultrex, and some good fish finders.(came with crappy stock fish finder)
I've seen mention somewhere before of a shop that helps with installing, and all that. Ideally, if the price is right, I could buy the Ultrex, two fish finders (one for the deck, one at the wheel), a 3 bank charger, and new battery, then drop my boat off, and they install it all during the week.
Anyone know of what i'm looking for? I'm halfway tempted to buy from good deals online. Then install myself just to get familiar in case of issues, I'd be able to fix it myself, but I'm also a bit scared to cut into the boat for mounting the fish finders and all that. This is my first boat, and plan to keep it a while, so I'm leaning towards a one time professional install as long as it's not gonna break the bank.
Thoughts?

Since you're talking about "cutting" into the boat,,,, yeah, it might be best to let someone else do it.

Dubee's not being rude, there's a guy that does installs. His screen name is "shut up and fish".

I personally don't know why people pay someone to mount stuff that is so easy to do themselves. I've always mounted my own trolling motors and fish finders. If you want to hire someone then I'd call Shut Up And Fish.

"Shut Up and Fish" has installed two Hummin birds and an Ultrex for me in the last 14 months. They do a great job!

I've used Chris at Lakeside Marine Specialties multiple times. Alvarado, TX south of Fort Worth. He pays attention to details and has always gotten it right for me the first time. He's a bass angler himself and knows what works. His place is on the lake so he can test things out and troubleshoot easily. I am like you in that I want to plan ahead and schedule these things to minimize downtime and maximize effeciency. He can work by appointment so that when you drop off your boat he gets to work on it right away. This is much different from the big boys at Cabelas who take your boat and let it sit for 3 weeks before they get around to even looking at it. https://www.lakesidemarinespecialties.com/contact-us

Give David a call at shut-up-and fish, top notch work and reasonably priced.
