Few that were caught at our ranch yesterday by the River Cabin. They snake hunters are going to come back next week and catch some more. 20 total up to 5ft

I was talking to a guy recently that said he paid most his way through college by catching rattle snakes. He said that he sold them to the snake roundup in sweetwater and also Southwest Research. I had no idea that rattle snakes would/could bring in so much money.
Apparently, the area around Pearsall has or used to have a lot of snakes!

Where are they catching them? Out in the open, or gassing them out of dens? I rarely see them where I hunt, but know they are around.

This was a den I believe in a rock shelf in mills County. Dad just said they caught them between our river cabin and 5 acre tank which isn't to far from each other!!

that's awesome. I've still never seen one in the wild. Saw a pygmy rattler while dove hunting a couple years ago but that's it
