JavelinJ Send me your address and I will send you some of the Illustrious Action worms to let you check out. Used these at El Salto. Was my main bait on a shaky head. The guide kept smelling the bag. He liked the smell of their scent.

Roboworms float. Makes a good shaky head or T-rig worm.
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

None of my Zooms float. Tried them in the kitchen sink last night. Actually some zooms do float, they just won't float a hook. The packages labeled "Original Trick Worm" do not have as much salt, so they float better.

Bps still sells floating worms and lizards. I just looked at the website and they do offer floating worms and lizards but not what I would call a true floater. The highly buoyant soft plastic high floaters will pretty much never have the typical soft plastic shine to them. They will have quite a bit of bulk but as soon as you pick one up the first thing you will notice is how light it is. These high floaters are probably 40% microscopic air bubbles and will have a matte looking appearance. The ones I use to use all the time will probably float a 10/0 Owner Beast hook if you wanted to use one. LOL The only standard soft plastic version of a floater I have seen that could float as well as the foam like ones are the old Riverside Air Series that have all the air chambers in them. I still have a decent stash of those Air Frys.

Not tried them yet but got some of these.
On average, your heart beats 100,000 times a day. One day, one of those heartbeats will be your last. Then what?

The packages labeled "Original Trick Worm" do not have as much salt, so they float better. Correct, some of them have no salt at all, I think it just depends on the run. I had some motoroil chartreuse tail ones that had zero salt, can't find 'em like that anymore.

We always have a Strike King Super Finesse worm tied on to a C-rig. These are the rubbery type worm, they last all day, and will float a hook.
Hey--we finally caught one! dwjimages.smugmug.com
