OP B.Byars Outdoorsman B Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 191 waco, texas	How much of a pain is it to replace a Trolling motor drive cable? Mine just snapped yesterday. I have already looked it up and the parts i believe are only $40 bucks for a kit.

To me the hardest part is making sure your putting the cables back on the right side (I didn't take pics). One is shorter. If I did it again it would probably take an hour or so. Scale of 1-10 I give it a 4.5. Highly recommend calling Jones Trolling in Texarkana. If you want some pointers PM me.

I took the foot control bottom cover off and it broke right at the "crimp" portion of the steering cable. I have already ordered the parts so...i guess wish me luck. LOL Ill take a bunch of pics that was i dont have to try to get ahold of MK and ask for a diagram.

Pulling the wires through the sleeve is the only hard part so when you pull the cable through it tie a wire or heavy string to the end of the wire. Then when you need to push the new cable through the wire/string will allow you to push and pull it through easily.
