How much of a pain is it to replace a Trolling motor drive cable? Mine just snapped yesterday. I have already looked it up and the parts i believe are only $40 bucks for a kit.

Just did my MK, make sure you take pics. To me the hardest part is making sure your putting the cables back on the right side (I didn't take pics). One is shorter. If I did it again it would probably take an hour or so. Scale of 1-10 I give it a 4.5. Highly recommend calling Jones Trolling in Texarkana. If you want some pointers PM me.

Not that big of a deal. You can do it. I had to cut a power wire in order to get the sprocket off.

I have a Minkota Maxxum, bought used like 3 years ago. I took the foot control bottom cover off and it broke right at the "crimp" portion of the steering cable. I have already ordered the parts so...i guess wish me luck. LOL Ill take a bunch of pics that was i dont have to try to get ahold of MK and ask for a diagram.

Its all easy. Pulling the wires through the sleeve is the only hard part so when you pull the cable through it tie a wire or heavy string to the end of the wire. Then when you need to push the new cable through the wire/string will allow you to push and pull it through easily.
