Looking at adding an 8 foot rod for jigging. For the guys that have had them both which would you recommend? Going with 8 foot because I like the thought of being closer to the livescope transducer. Any info would be awesome.

I have fished both. Loved my bonehead until I broke it at the handle. I have 2 ACC I fish with now, almost exclusively. Price was the difference for me.
"I'd rather be fishing!"

Had three bone heads. Broke two and sold the third before I ever fished with it knowing what was coming. Ive never used an AcC but can highly recommend G-Rods!

Just like above comments, I also had 2 8ft Bonehead rods that broke (my own stupidity and not the fault of craftsmanship). I replaced these rods with ACC crappie Stix and love them. Just as RODS454 stated, price was the difference in me deciding to replace the Boneheads with ACC. That being said, the issue you may now face is finding them in stock. When they sell out (which they do frequently) they tend to not restock inventory for long periods of time.
Both of these are great rods and you wont regret either purchase.

I'd look at a 10 or a 12 for Livescope in my limited experience! I really like a 10' and Clay uses a 12'! I think I need to order a 20'!!!

What reels do you use on the ACC rods? And line? Thinking about getting 2 so wife and I can crappie fish. Normally only bass fish.

I use cheap baitcasters on all my timber rods. $39 Abu Black Max from Walmart. Don't need anything fancy for crappie. All it does it hold line. I like the baitcaster over a spinning reel cause I can keep up with how much line I'm letting out versus guessing with a spinning reel.

I have the 8' ACC and fished it Hard Last Year. I just picked up the 7'6" splt grip ACC, I'm liking this rod better than the 8 footer
