Anyone have any luck out there recently? I went out yesterday and blanked. Going to go again today but if anyone has some advice I'd love to try something different. The water temps were 54-55 on the main lake around Hickory Creek. I found other water in the back of a cove 58-59.

I just launched to scout some for a club tournament next week. I'll let you know what not to try because the Lew is one of my nemeses... fish

Yeah, i want to know if that water temp is accurate and if it was by a warm water source. I was on Grapevine yesterday until 1pm. Highest temp I saw even in a creek(3-5 fow) was 53 degrees. Main lake was between 50-52 degrees. Lots of fish building up in deep creek channels 25-30ft of water getting ready for pre-spawn. Not a lot of bites.

Very accurate. Very consistent. They are everywhere back there and bullying baits. I have been coming to check for a while now via boat but then I came from a long hike (saw a yak back there and ask water temp he yelled out 67).

Couple other folks back there catching 5's 6's and already seen a couple myself. Still trying to figure out why the water is so warm. It's not Pecan either.

I was out this morning, 38 deg outside. There was a creek that was putting out Monticello style fog. I chose Pecan, but
obviously I chose wrong. I will have to check it out now.

58 was as warm as we could find w access by boat today. not bites at all. If this is true... then they are up in the creeks where the boat can't go. I'm guessing the once referred to "creek x" is where you're going.

He is probably talking about Riverbend waste water creek. Those yuppies in Collin County prolly have warmer poo than us Denton County ruffians at Pecan....

The sun warmed water in mid lake from 51 to 55 degrees today. I found a couple of places where creeks warmed to 60 degrees by the end of the day. Got one swimmer and a blue cat by the back...

They ARE NOT bedding in the back of the main creek flats north of Hidden Cove.

They ARE NOT bedding in the couple of pockets at the end of boat stalls in Lakeview.
