I marinated once from a package mix. They came out tender but were not my idea of what a steak should taste like. Went back to my tried and true method - coarse pepper and Lawry's grilled over pecan, mesquite, or hickory.

I wouldnt marinate a ribeye. I would put Bolners fajita seasoning on it and let it sit in the fridge.

I use a product called "Steak Shake" I get from the guy that mixes my brisket rub. Adds great flavor to steaks and burgers.

I can't remember the last time I ate a steak but as far me I wouldn't marinate one....just one part Kosher salt to 2 parts coarse blk pepper.

I tried marinating steaks in Italian Dressing a few times but couldn't tell it it made any difference or not. Finally decided I was just wasting the Italian Dressing.

Found these today at HEB. Plan to thaw them, salt and pepper them, then onto the gas grill. It tells you on the package how long to cook them, but been there, done that. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2019/03/full-50176-5867-image.jpg)

Buy a good steak, no need to marinate a ribeye. Ditto. The Trinity Salt Pepper and garlic... 3 minutes a side... lest rest 10 minutes or so and enjoy!
