Yesterday when we were coming back in I got on it a little and all of a sudden a solid alarm went off - No beeping just a solid sounding alarm. I shut it off and check the oil, no problem there. I started it back up and got on it again and the same thing. Did the same by shutting it down. Felt of the engine, it was not hot, it was spitting water really well but I don't know why I got the alarm. The alarm never came back on after starting it either time, it would come on when I got on it. Any suggestion on what to look for?

Thanks,
Rodman

Rodman... Well if it is a solid horn that means it is a overheat situation . Now if you are running WOT sometimes a intermitent horn will almost sound like a solid horn because it is reading ignition pulses from cylinder # 3 off the switchbox It almost sounds like the oil pump drive gear is slipping on the crank gear and that is why it goes off when you hit the thottle hard. It dont really sound like heat because it's not going to heat up that fast. It could also be the oil injection module It's really hard to say without seeing and hearing it......OPTI

do yourself a HUGE favor and remove that oil injection before you toast your motor...by the time the horn goes off usually its to late...get the block off kit and mix your gas!!

I had a steady horn once at high speeds and it was a head gasket. If your head gaskets are over 5 years old check your plugs for moisture.

We just put the motor back together about a month ago. I had the Power Head rebuilt and it has ran great until this past Wednesday.

Thanks,
Rodman
