Here is some advise. Go fish what you know and just because Joe Bob didnt do good doesnt mean you want. Try deep banks pitching it dead sticking it. Stick and move if they aint shallow dont give up as they may be 3 or 4 feet off the bank. If they aint on the banks you usually catch try other banks. Stick and move. Try tree tops laid over fish the edges dead stick it. Try that brush pile you come across in the mouth of that creek on the way in. If you do these things and be your own man I promise it will pay off. Go get em.

They are in the mouth of creeks and coves on any kind of structure and suspended away from structure too in the middle of the deepest part. I witnessed it yesterday no bs. Live scope was lit up and I even watched my bait right above the suspended crappie as I tried everything and couldnt get a bite. I new the last freeze would mess them up but I had to try it because I wanted a trip on the lake before it got packed and busy. Im sure if I had minnows I might have caught some but Im not a miner dunker. Duces

Still a bit early for shallow crappie, IMO...stay out in deeper water if you want to catch fish.

Bridge columns arent a bad place to fish right now.
