My son pays CS on his daughter. It is automatically deducted from his primary job. He then took a second part time job to make some extra money and now Texas is taking his CS payment from that job as well. So his net take home from his second job is around $50 every two weeks. Is that what happens? No matter how many jobs you work, Texas will take the full amount from every job? Don't say hire an attorney. If he could afford one, he wouldn't be working two jobs. He is current on all his payments and has no back payments to catch up. Ideas?

Is there a divorce decree that states the amount of CS to be paid?

Does not sound like the second job is worth having at this time if the CS folks are double dipping, most likely the baby momma is not getting paid double Something does not sound right about his case. ![[Linked Image]](http://66.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m3pbjk2cZ21qauuy1o1_r2_500.gif)

Is he behind? That may make a difference. Never mind. I need to learn to read the entire post.

Thats why I totally hate the attorney general, they screw dads every chance they get. But like the other poster said, If theres a divorce decree, they can only take so much

Mine was set up for a percentage of what I made at the time we went to court. No more than half of any paycheck. I think it was 20%. So by that. He should only be paying a percentage of his salary when the order was filed. Not a percentage of what he makes now. That being said. I haven't had to pay CS in over ten years. So things may be different.

I receive child support (single dad). Even though I'm the custodial parent, the Texas AG treats dads like garbage, even if we're being respective and responsible.
If he's behind on child support, then YES. Especially if he's way behind. My boy's mom is well over $25k behind, and every source of income she has gets docked until it's paid in full.
He needs to check with the AG and understand what the judge ruled for child support. There's a lot of people that don't understand the paperwork.
He can go login the AG website and check what the total arrears is.

I don't think the AG can indiscriminately start taking more money. I do know that every 3 or 5 years, can't remember which, the custodial parent can request a "re visit" of income and requests a change to the amount. I believe it was only done if the increase (or decrease) was 10% over what the decree said.
There's a chance that your boy's new employer initiated it, and it would not surprise me in the least bit if the AG somehow "missed" the fact that he already had income being taken out of his full time job. After talking through several issues with the AG's office, I can tell you it was easier trying to castrate a snake or baptize a cat then get something accomplished with those people. Every single one of them except one was a man hating you know what and was more than happy to delay any and all solutions.
I would suggest he get a clear head and call them, keep calm, state the facts, and whatever he does, get their names and log each time he talks with someone.

When my son was double employed he had to report both jobs. But only one took out CS. I believe he got to choose which.

Been awhile since I had to deal with this. After paying into the system (auto deduct) for a few years, I was one of the lucky ones able to turn the tables and literally "Screw my X in Court" and reverse those payments. Ohhh...to hear her sing out in those atrium halls in Tarrant County courthouses...."He's the devil, bribed the judge...blah blah" after custody and payments where reversed. Man I'd almost pay again to hear that repeated. I wish your son much patience and better luck in getting the issue resolved.
Some folks mouths, flat out runs their minds.

Not sure if I saw this in earlier posts... Does the CS order state a set dollar amount each month or a percentage of income each month? And, is there a cap?
If percentage, the more total income he makes, from no matter how many jobs, the more $$ that same percentage will be.
