Blue top group 31 optima are 353.00. Less than 2x the price for a battery that will last you 25 years if you fish day 100 days a year seems like a no brainer. Not to mention they work better period.

39 volts after 8 hours. Fully charged they measure 40.

The benefit is having no battery fade all day. I run My tm In 1 to 2.5 all day where with agm I would Start out at 2 and as the day goes on Id end up at 4-5 by the end of the day. 2.5 is going into the wind a good wind.

So far with the 100 relion start battery I have Ran 3-12 helix and 360 w no issues. I havent Ran my livewell yet all day to see what that does. The lowest voyage Ive seen on that battery is 12.6 after all day.

I do Have a 130 amp alt not the stock 50 amp. But Ive only checked these on days my runs back to the ramp were less than 5 minutes.

FYI the best agm battery is the dominator at $450 thats what I was Running for my start battery and that is the only agm I would Buy if I was Buying agm. It never let me down. So my relion lithium were $125 more. And of course 55# lighter.

I have a Northstar for my cranking battery. It is a beast. I run the Duracell's from Sam's on my trolling motor.

Which do I like?? None of them!!. They all are a pain to deal with.

Two of my buddies recently bought Optima blue tops that were bad from Day ONE so don't count on them being the best. Batteries are a necessary evil and nothing more.

I am intrigued by the new Lithium Ions and I think they are the wave of the future. The price keeps dropping but still beyond most fishermen's reach. If I were rigging out a new boat I would certainly give them a try.

The two batteries are would recommend are the X2 sold by batteries plus bulbs or the duracel AGM. The X2 is the best battery you can buy and the duracel is a good battery at a reasonable price.

My personal experience is blue top optima is garbage. I had one went bad after 2 months and warranty was a joke. Come to find out, this certain one I had was actually built by interstate and so interstate had to honor the warranty and that was like pulling teeth. Optima wouldn't even touch it. If you have multiple graphs, talons, stereo, you need something bigger. X2, northstar agm, something similar in 31 size is the way to go but going to cost 400-500 bucks

Me either that's why I buy Walmart. If I can buy 2 trolling motor battery's and a cranking battery for less than $300 and they last 3 years why pay more. And they're warranty is as good as any and there's a Walmart everywhere. My trolling motor battery's are 3/15 so they're 4 yr's old and still work great.

I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed.

That's me. I buy Walmart and make sure they are maintained. If something does happen there is a Walmart pretty darn close to almost every lake I've ever fished.

Different strokes for different folks. If there is something better I want it. I didnt like the voltage drop thru a day of fishing even with $450 agm

39 volts? $575 not much more than a good AGM? What AMG's are you buying?

This is why minn Kota doesnt recommend lithiums.

They need charged if they get down to 37volts..... this is after being off the charger for a half day.

HOW About a curve ball.. When I had my boat...Diehard..Their marine battery were better than anybody besides Optima at the time, and they started making AGMS as well. THEY were closer in price to optimas but 100 cheaper..Ive never had a interstate marine that was worth a [censored].Didnt last more than 1.5 to two years and faded fast on tourney day..Not bad cranking batts, but Everstart even better than that..Iwould use Everstart for cranking, but Diehards for marine..Cant speak to their AGMS other than they made em..

DIEHARDS cost about 150 to 175 now for marine trolling i think so a cheaper better option for 24-36 volt systems.
