Is it me or what it seems that all the Whites run's are off this year. I do both white and black and it been slow for both for me.

Water is still cold. 46 at Texoma yesterday. 50 at Richland chambers on Sunday. So I bet that has some to do with it.

I've always believed that when the weather causes the fish to abort their spawn that they will absorb their eggs.
I've noticed this in past years where the eggs of the female bass would have full sacks but the eggs were turning clear and mushy.
I think this is the case this year from what I've seen.
Instead of heading up the creeks they may seek out warmer water in the lakes to do their thing.

Everything is off. Trees and wildflowers are slow to grow and the fish think its Feb instead of March

Over the past several years I learned to quit trying to predict mother nature, now I just go fishing when I can.

I've fished Dec - Feb since 2009 and always caught white bass that stayed in the lake. This year they must have all left. Have caught nothing since last of December here at Cedar Creek Lake.

The spawn is about 3 weeks behind compared to earlier years. It will happen. You can�t beat Mother Nature.
