Staying on South End of lake (Laguna Park) area for 3 nights next weekend. Is the bite any good on that end of the lake? No boat but will have plenty of bank and a dock to fish from. Are they hitting anything specific this time of year? Just moved back from Alaska after 10 years so I'm a little rusty. Thanks in advance!

Welcome back. Whitneys been good to me for smaller cats and especially stripe bass. Id definitely fish even from the bank! Shad or punch bait will catch eaters. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip. A few eaters would be just fine. My wife is from Alaska and has never had catfish so I'm hoping to catch some. I'm not even sure where to begin with stripers from a bank. I did purchase a cast net so I'm hopeful I'll find some shad somewhere along the lake.
