FLW Live. Brian Latimer has day 3 lead and is fishing day 4. Leaves his primary spot to give it a rest. When he comes back two high school anglers in jerseys are fishing it. Evidently they were spectators while he was on it earlier and when he left they started fishing it.

He just kept repeating to them Hey guys, thats not cool as they moved off. I wondered how long it would take before they get identified from the exposure

like this has never happened before......
but this time, it was apparently HS anglers and it made Legend LE's year. He finally has televised proof that HS anglers are ruining the sport cry

totally public. but it is considered by many to be extremely bad form to move in and fish an area that a pro has been fishing during the tournament.

HORRIBLY unsportsmanlike in my opinion. Yes its a public lake, but thats not the point. Its common courtesy. Its respect.

Did they have a captain with them? That's the real question

Were they also in a tournament?

Were they fishing that spot on previous days and waited while he fished it first?

Did he let them know that he would be back for the spot later? I assume the kids were questioned and they had no idea about this spot prior to the tournament and it has been confirmed that it was not "their spot" prior to the FLW event?

I cant wait to become a Pro myself so I dont have to worry about other people on my spots and have to consider that into my game plan/day. Were these kids not aware that the lake is off limits when "Pro's: are on the water.

Also I am absolutely sure none of the other FLW guys had any issues with other people on the water.

I really don't know what to think of something like this. I don't fish tournaments so I have another perspective I guess. I definitely try and rest a spot to come back to while fishing and it usually works. However I know that I am always running the risk of having another boat move in there. I don't own the lake and I'm not upset at all over something like this..... Maybe that's a spot those local kids usually fish so they were just waiting to move in there? Anyway I guess my real answer would be if you really like a spot then don't give it up.

Lakes shouldn't be put off limits just because a tournament is going on.
That should be part of the game just like anyone fishing the lake, once you leave a spot someone can move in and fish where you were fishing, if it's public water.
Now if it's in the rules of a tournament where competitors can lay claim to certain areas and leave, and then return then so be it if it's in the rules.
What if the guy fishing the spot leaves and doesn't return? How are the other competitors going to know?
Marker buoy with his name on it?

Just one more cast!
