I've had 2 bass boats and a pond boat. Liked all of them. The one I hated the most was the I wanted but couldn't afford.
Prepare for the future-it will be here tomorrow. Personal Best Large Mouth Bass 9 lbs. 12 oz 5/13/19. Herb Stein, who famously reminded us that “if something can’t go on forever, it will stop.”

I bought a new aluminum skeeter many years ago. I fished out of it a couple of months and started noticing I would take on a little water. Checked everything I could think of to check but couldn't find the leak. It wasn't taking on an enormous amount of water just enough to be annoying especially for a new boat. Everything turned out okay though. I called the dealer and told them what was happening and they told me that they had been having trouble with that particular model leaking from the welded seam under the bow that you couldn't see They exchanged it with a new G3 no questions asked. I was glad to get it. Do you think they knew this when they sold me the boat. It's been a long time ago. Who knows, turned out okay. Dad had 2 of them aluminum Skeeters, sweet layout but stringers came loose in both in less than 2 months, they gave him new fiberglass after the second one came apart

About 40 years ago I was a young airman station at Carswell AFB that sits on the southside of Lake Fork. One of my buddies had heard that folks were catching tons of crappies in the reeds that were on all the shorelines around the lake. We decided that we needed to get in on that action. There was a recreation center on base that had all types of sports equipment that could be signed out. We got us a canoe ! Neither of us had ever even been in a canoe. I think we tipped that canoe about 5 times. Lucky we never got in water over 3-4 feet deep. We didn't catch any crappie. I hate that canoe, Don't ya mean Lake Worth...... YES,....its a betch getting old,...

I always wanted a Bullet but couldnt afford one at the time so I bought a K Mart Bullet known as a Blazer 202 Pro V. 95 model. That thing not only was the toughest riding boat Ive ever sat in, AND it was slow, but it literally spit out motors. Blew 3 in a row. 200 Yamaha Pro V, 225 optimax, 225 promax. I thought it was water in the gas or something. replaced all gas tank fittings, hoses, gaskets, still had issues. Did I mention it rode rough? Ughhhhhhh. Own a real bullet now. Youd think for identical hulls theyd ride the same. Noooooooo. Not. Even. Close.

around 50 years ago I lived on a small pond just chuck full of big bass and was fishing mostly out of a canoe. A fire company was selling their rescue boat. A really big 12' with a covered front end and a 5 HP motor. Thinking back I cannot imagine how safe that thing might have been while dragging for bodies on a big river with current.
But for my pond I thought it would be perfect and it was reasonably cheap. I ended up building a trailer for it and towed it all over the USA fishing in lakes including one trip to Texas and several to Florida. What I found out was there that the alligators were longer than my little boat. At Lake Lavon we forgot to put the plug in and nearly sank 15' from the ramp with 3 people going fishing.
Eventually I sold it and bought a 17' Grumman crappie model flat bottom which was somewhat safer but had a little live well. I tore that out and installed and 50 qt cooler with an aeration system to hold all of the fish I used to catch. That had a 15 hp motor with a 10 hp cover on it to meet the 10 hp requirement most of the little lakes I tournament fished in.
In 95 I finally bought an 18' fiberglass boat.

My dad had a 1986 skeeter starda 120 he owned till around 2013, he went though some motors but it was garaged kept for the most part. Now we have a 2000 ranger 518VX and cant say anything bad about either boat.

16' Caddo tri-hull with a 60hp Chrysler. Only had it one year in the early 80's when I first got into bass fishing. Had a 1976 Caddo trihull 14 ft white boat red white blue seats and carpet. 1 st bass boat and ugliest thing I ever owned. 55 3 cylinder Johnson. Owned it less than year but it got me on water so guess it wasnt that bad. J D
I got all day I’m retired

This one is easy for me, the Glastron ski boat with a 351 and OMC outdrive. That outdrive would grenade every two years, and I hated it for that. My fishing boats were all great, I never hated any of them.

I don't think I ever hated one, but dang sure liked some better than others. I always thought I was lucky just to have a boat to fish out of.

A buddy of mine bought a new 1985 SPIRIT with a Yam 150. It was popped off a Skeeter Starfire 150 and looked identical. I liked the boat so I bought a new 1986. The boat fell apart under me. They were built in Minden Louisiana. The dealer at the time tried to help me but he was not having much luck. I finally got the guy that owned the company in La to agree to repair some of the holes in the bottom of the hull so I drug it to the factory.
After weeks of playing phone tag or being ignored I went to pick it up. From what I could see the repairs looked okay. I didn't think to look under the driver's console to see that someone had stole my hotfoot! Multiple calls to the guy and a couple weeks later I got the dreaded, "The number you have called is no longer in service" message. They had gone out of biz. I literally took a bath on that boat trying to get rid of it.

I was wondering at what point the decision was made to buy the boat back. Ive got a new FX21 bought in March 2019 and its at factory now and already been once before. Im wondering how many other owners are having issues.

Bought an AlumaCraft piece of Carp off a scheister kid on here. What a total turd of a boat that was damaged before I even bought it. It never ran right and was a constant money pit.
