Title says it all. Air it out fellas, tell us all about a boat that drove you nuts. Bass boats preferred but all input is welcome. Did the engine fail? Did the hull have issues? Did the cupholder not hold the Tallboy beer cans snug enough during plane? Did the A/C not work right? Was that year model a lemon? I would imagine this will have some interesting feedback.
My personal: A 1982 bass tracker. The mercury on back was great! One day we were cruising across ray rob at a scorching 27 mph and we hit a small wave, even for a tracker, and the hull split from the bow to the steering wheel on a welded seem and the lake engulfed us instantly. The hull had no signs of stress in that area, she just gave out. Luckily it didnt completely sink but still!

My first boat was a Quachita. Front stick steering with a 50 Merc. I knew nothing about bass boats, no one did, but Toledo Bend opened up and I was hooked. Any wave would swamp that boat, didnt matter how big. It had a Hummingbird depth finder, a Bilge pump, and a drive on trailer and no trim or tilt. I was just starting out. But I caught a lot of fish in that boat. Next one was the old Skeeter Hawk guide boat with an 85 Merc. That was a fine boat. I would use one today, all business. Anyone remember that one?

My last Nitro. Id bleed like a stuck pig every time I had to work on it. The outside looked good, but the fiberglass stalactites hanging from the underside of the top cap were deadly!!!! Cheap wiring and cheap everything else in that boat kinda got old (no pun intended....mostly). It brought me back to the ramp each time, so at least it never really let me down. That boat makes me really appreciate a Skeeter. Lol

I bought a new aluminum skeeter many years ago. I fished out of it a couple of months and started noticing I would take on a little water. Checked everything I could think of to check but couldn't find the leak. It wasn't taking on an enormous amount of water just enough to be annoying especially for a new boat. Everything turned out okay though. I called the dealer and told them what was happening and they told me that they had been having trouble with that particular model leaking from the welded seam under the bow that you couldn't see They exchanged it with a new G3 no questions asked. I was glad to get it. Do you think they knew this when they sold me the boat. It's been a long time ago. Who knows, turned out okay.

I don't think I ever hated one, but dang sure liked some better than others. I always thought I was lucky just to have a boat to fish out of.
I had a buddy I fished with that had a Skeeter Wrangler that if I would have owned I would have hated. I didn't care for that boat at all.
Thanks, Billy

Had a Sidewinder with a 150 tower of power Mercury. It was a tank of a boat that rode about as wet and rough as any boat I have ever been in.

16' Caddo tri-hull with a 60hp Chrysler. Only had it one year in the early 80's when I first got into bass fishing.

1st boat was a 1972 15' Monark stick steer 40hp. I loved it then but now it was probably dangerous.

07 bass cat, spent more time at the bass cat factory than on the lake. Glad they bought it back

Sometimes I wonder if we just expect a boat & all it's parts to last forever. I'm a firm believer that if you are not at least a little handy, and fairly observant, you should not own a bass boat. And yes, I know a few who don't qualify.

Yep, old tri-hull bomber style boats. Horrible riding beast.
