Accessories add up to quite a bit, and it's time and money if someone wants to add on those items to any kayak themselves. List the kayak by itself, with maybe only including a paddle and life jacket. When you offer an entire package you've put all your cards on the table, and will still get a lower offer, so listing the kayak alone, you still have something to sweeten the deal in order to get your asking price or close to it. $750 is a lowball offer, and I don't think you are that desperate.

$900 is a fair price if its like new.
Be prepared to take $700 if you want to sell it quickly.
But yeah thats your operating range for a used diablo IMO.

I am willing to trade my Perception Pescador 12 for your Diablo Amigo. Then you could tell your wife you don't have very much invested in your kayak and its no big deal if it sits around unused.
On a more serious note, list it for sale with a fairly high price. If it sells, then your wife will spend your kayak money on furniture or carpet which is what you really want (right?). If it doesn't sell, then it wasn't worth much and its no big deal that it is sitting around unused.
I would list the kayak, chair and depth finder for $900, the cart for $100, and the truck bed extender for $40. Then let someone talk you down to $900 for all of it.

Thanks for the advice and I thought about asking this question on here as a possibility that some people would know how low I would be willing to go and ya I’m not that motivated to sell I don’t really have to and if I did I would use the money to buy more wood working tools I think $900 is fair for all I think that would be my bottom line PM me if anyone or if you know of anyone that’s interested

I would hope this comunity is good enough to be able to be fair and honest. A fair price is fair. Imo...pretty crappy thing to try and steal a kayak away or charge too much to an inexperianced buyer. Keep integrity in our sport.

There has not been a lot of listings lately so you should stay on the first page for several weeks without needing to bump. Post some pictures of the Kayak and the accessories... if $900 is a fair price, you should get immediate interest this time of year. Good luck!

I think anyone posting their kayak for sale has a pretty good idea of what all they have invested into it. If it's been barely used and sat in a garage out of the elements, it wouldn't be out of the question to be on the higher end of the price range, and if everyone thinks it's too high, then it will sit in the listings for a long time. Who's right is it to question someone's price, when they can just move along and find one cheaper? I've bought and sold several kayaks over the years and I haven't run into anyone that was trying to steal, or force me to buy something by charging too much? I've had people give me a low ball number without ever seeing the kayak, but that is expected, and doesn't cost you anything to ask. As with anything you have to do some homework and get an idea of what you are looking for, and there is plenty of advise given on this forum alone, and if you don't see it anywhere, you can always ask. If you see a deal listed say on Craigs list, that sounds way too good to be true, then it's probably not on the up and up, and that is always a red flag that it could be stolen. If you feel it's priced way too high, then just move along, or send that person a personal message. Deals are out there, but you just need to do your homework, and go over any possible purchase with a fine tooth comb.
