last June my left pinky finger and ring finger went numb for some reason. Months later I found out that I had an Ulna Nerve Entrapment in my left elbow. Dr. Terry Siller is my doctor that will do the surgery in Tx City. He's great...did both of my knee replacements and a couple other outpatient surgeries over the past 4 years. Has anyone here had this type of surgery? I have it tomorrow morning. Don't mind the surgery, it's getting up and out in this *&*&*& cold weather by 4:30am.

Have ya ever bumped your elbow and "hit your funny bone?".......that's the Ulna Nerve you hit.

I know what the ulna nerve is, just never heard of the entrapment part, which I�m assuming is a very bad pinched nerve? Never heard of it being surgically repaired.

Praying for a quick recovery. The Lord Jesus Christ has control!

It's a pretty simple surgery.....the nerve is pinched by the bones. The nerve is not cut at all, just relocated into another position and stitched up where it won't get trapped again. So long, back later...getting ready to leave for the hospital.

GL....my son's best friend had the surgery and it was actually a 4-6 week recovery and he was pitching again in 4 months.

I'm back home. The arm is in a sling of course. Was in a lot of pain in the recovery room so another doctor knocked me out again and gave me a nerve block. Can't bend the arm and fingers are NUMB. The block he said lasts for 12 to 24 hrs. Tried to eat but hard to swallow food. I think something was shoved down my throat. Thanx for all the kind words. I sure hope I'll be able to work the weigh station May 5th at Waterman's NEAR San Luis Pass. 3rd Annual Texas Anglers Charity Classic, hosted by TRANSOCEAN and NOV., benefiting VETS and more.If ya can't fish the tourney, come on out for a visit.
