It's certainly possible. If your using multiple lines in a small pond, you might have a problem with lines crossing up.

Sure it's lots of paddling, but it's also a lot of fun. Check out the "report" here - easier than me just reiterating what was already said. Another reason I like to troll is sometimes I'm limited on time. Obviously you wouldn't want to do it for 8 hours, but if you're like me, you may only have a couple hours, and I'd rather spend them paddling than casting.

Personally, trolling is my favorite way to fish from a kayak, and it's good to be set up for trolling even if you are just paddling to your "spot" because you'd be surprised what you can pick up on your way to fish!

My boyfriend's kayak came with rod holders in the back, and he uses those to troll. I have one rod holder in front of me, and I have no trouble trolling with it - I just stick it straight in the air, and the line doesn't get in my way at all. Plus I can see the rod.

There is some good info on the Kayak Fishing Stuff board too. For example, this thread and this one.

believe it or not, trolling from a kayak is the perfect speed for trolling. People troll fresh and salt catching sandbass to dorado and sailfish even.

I have caught lots of bass moving to another spot and had my line dragging behind me and getting strikes. I'm even doing it with my fly rod and a frog pattern. I don't know that I would go out to troll around but when your moving, it definately can't hurt. Just make sure all your rods are secured!
