I just cant figure out how a stump did that, and if you were going backwards, how the heck you were going fast enough to cause that damage from a stump. Sure it happened on the water and someone didnt back their trailer ball on the back of there truck into the back of your boat by accident or something prior to getting on the water. Just an odd location. Hope its covered for you either way.

Looks to me like its the gator hull flaking off to reveal damage underneath. Just an opinion of viewing the photo. Id take it to Lake Fork fiberglass and ask them to look at it to get an opinion. I hear they do quality work.

I'm no expert but, that looks like camouflaged previously damage. I hope I'm wrong.

I have the Gator Hull from LFF and it is only applied to bottom of boat. No way they did the area in the picture.
Looks like a sloppy cover up job from previous owner to me.

Call your insurance company and take it to a shop unless you can fix it yourself

Count me in the camp that says something is fishy (and not the good kind). You wouldn't have stump damage in that spot from making forward progress. It also appears that some of the "cover up" is flaking off near the drain plug. I'd get a flat screw driver and pick at that area around the damage and see if you don't get some chunks/flakes of a shoddy repair. You could also unscrew that cover around the drain plug and see the integrity of the hole that was drilled there. If someone knocked that piece off before (and that is a common area for damage), you will be able to tell with the drain hole assembly removed. Never a bad idea to reseal around it anyway.

Looks like a repaired boat-trailer-powerloaded-going-up-the-ramp-too-fast-dumped-boat-back-off-onto-concrete kinda repair to me.

Looks like flex seal or something similar painted on. When you hit the stump, did you hit it dead center, or did you go off to the side? I would think you would have had a major impact to damage it.

I dont see how it would damage it there and not the bottom edge of the boat. If peel that black [censored] off to see if its damaged at bottom edge of boat
