I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure all Kistlers components and blanks come from overseas as well. Just basically put together here.

The reality is that when labor is a major component the US can't compete with countries where people are willing to work for less per day than people are willing to work for a hour here. Warren Buffet will tell you if you invest in a US company with labor as a major component your investment should be of short duration.

I bought a Bucco at Cabelas in Ft. Worth two weeks ago. They had them priced at $100. Not sure if that's the normal rate but the guy said they were on sale. They still had about 10 of them left. That is MSRP on them. You can catch them for upwards of 50% off at certain times of the year.

Unfortunately, Falcon Rods is not the company that they used to be. I sent a sticker request email to them back on Jan 19th. I never heard a word from them until I emailed them back on Feb 20th. It took them until Feb 22nd to finally respond. I wouldn't have to worry about having any customers if I responded to mine in a similar timeline like that. Something is going on, for sure. All I hope for is to still be able to buy from Southwest parts when I'm needing a new Cara..... I'll take back what I said about Falcon Rods because I finally received my stickers that I asked for after 6 weeks. Maybe they've cut back on admin staff. I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Gonna continue to buy Falcon Caras through favorite tackle store, Southwestern Parts & Service. I may now be able to fulfill my desires on "Goin'Pro w/ a Bro".

Just bought a new model Low Rider at local tackle shop. Really hated to see Made In China sticker on the rod but I understand the economics of price point and profit for the manufacturer. Will try and use the rod this week to see if it performs like my other Low Riders. Also looking for the new model Expert to test against my Cara's.
