From the looks of some of the emails they've been sending out the last few weeks it seems their glass rig is going to be over the top high end.

They just released a teaser remote control apparatus, not sure what it all does but you maybe able to launch your boat with it, so much for the dump and run that was being debated here a week or so back. Not sure if that is what it is but sure seems to make sense.

They'll have a packed booth at the Classic in a few weeks

I'm pretty sure JM is the "new competitor" in the boat building business in that neck of the Woods .... pun intended.

I own a Vexus 1980 now, coming from a ZX225. For where I fish its great and takes abuse better than glass did. And the ride is as close to glass as u will find in aluminum. Have really enjoyed it so far. I am sure their glass will be sweet, I was just not in the 50K or greater market anymore and the tin rig is what I was looking for.

How long has Johnny Morris been building glass bass boats and how long has Forrest L Wood been building glass bass boats?

Probably get crucified for saying this but exactly what difference does it make how long Forrest Wood built boats? Rangers were always a quality product, never the fastest, never the best riding and contrary to what some would believe, never the best built either.Trolling motor down they never fished better than a Skeeter, were slower than a Bass Cat (and many others) When the lake got to rolling, old Forrest's sleds couldn't stay in sight of a Champion. So when I hear all this talk about FL Wood and his old cronies building another boat I find myself less than enthused. Forrest's real magic was/is in marketing his products.

LOL , they all look pretty young in that picture, I think Forrest sold Ranger back in late 80's ,they were by far the leader in the industry while Forrest was at the helm, at least imo. Have not had a Ranger since 1994, sure am looking forward to see the boat all those old cronies built.

My answer to Clark was stating that Wood and Family (the old Ranger) have been building glass boats a lot longer than JM. His assertion was that Vexus was a "new competitor", couldn't be further from the truth. With their supplier relationships they've built over the years, I'm betting Vexus doesn't have any worries about getting material. If that was the case, how would they have built their aluminum line in direct competition with Ranger's line?

Point is, the top level management, the top sales folks for sure, and from what I've been told a big chunk of the crafts people from Ranger, are now at Vexus. Essentially, Ranger is nothing more than the name anymore.

Now on to your post...haha. I agree with every bit of it except I think a Ranger fishes better than a Skeeter, and I own a Skeeter - also have owned a Ranger. The rest of it, I'm with ya!

I expect It to be high. Just saying vexus is the new boat company. You�re delusional if you think otherwise.

Let me make this simple. Who�s been in business longer, vexus or ranger? Vexus or nitro? Hell even legend isn�t in business anymore and they are still more of a boat company than vexus is at this point.

Do I think They will build a quality glass boat, I�m sure they will. Can you prove they can right now, no you can�t.

There�s no doubt it�s going to be an awesome rig and the customization is going to be like nothing we�ve seen before. Just don�t joke about it costing more than that $110k Ranger.
