Just curious. Where do the crappie spawn on this Lake. i normally fish the Marina. but i was wondering if they go up into the cove by the Marina?

They do spawn in there. There is a entrance on fm985 that you can use to walk down to the creek at the back end of the marina. I have done well in there. Also have done well in waxahachie creek and the cove at love park ramp.

You can get in there with a kayak. If you can put it in at the marina the creek is only about 150 yards north of the marina

It's hard to say with this up and down weather but it looks like end of next week will be in the uppers 60's. It would definitely be worth a look next weekend for me

I was on Bardwell Tuesday. Fished deep to shallow. Not a bite to be had! LOL. Warmest water I found was 51 degrees. We need a lot more sunshine and these cold fronts to move out.

I'd bet there are some already in there but once the cold front hit, they congregated into the deepest pocket close to their spawn areas. For sure in the next two weeks you will start picking them out of there.

if I owned a Kayak I would launch from little mustang and go north toward the old Ennis Pkway bridge area or I would launch from Waxahachie Creek Park(if it`s open) & go up Waxahachie Creek.The only feeder creek to the lake.
