AGREED!

Deep water setups, middepth setups, shallow water setups, brush setups, tangle setups, slip cork setups, fixed cork setups, night fishing setups, bridge fishing setups, dock fishing setups, river fishing setups, bank fishing setups, dock shooting setups, Casting setups...Personally, I like to have two/three setups of each type mentioned above, at least one with braid and onewith mono or copoly. Sometimes you can get rods that serve multiple purposes, and that should be a goal starting out...but a lot of us, have surpassed that number many years ago, as Bobcat so shamelessly noted. Heck, I gave away half a dozen last year, because, sometimes folks will get in a bind after breaking that cheap stuff they buy, so I introduce them to a better level of rod.

Honestly, I dont know how many is too many, I just know I take three rods in the boat and two if Im walking. And I always try to keep at least one in the truck, for emergency situations!

I have too many rods, and too much money.
I am also too smart and too good looking.
I am sure there is something else, but I have too much time to think about it.

Not counting my retired rods, and counting catfish rods, bass rods, crappie rods and salt water rods, I probably have 40-50 rods and they all have their purpose and place.

Not wanting to get slammed I want comment on you can never have to many.
I have 12 all set up with casting reels.
4-10
4-8
4-6 1/2 Night fishing

The only reason I have 4 of each is for friends that go with me.
I slip cork with 2 of the 10 footers.
No docks to shoot where I fish.

The key is not to allow dust to get on them, if she sees dust, she will know it is too many. 😫

Wife says the garage wall looks like Academy, so I think I'm about half way there. banana

There fishing rods in my Armco office, my shops, storage and at the lake.
The trick is dont let anyone see them all in one place.
I think I may have a problem.
