Good place for collision repair or not? Insurance adjuster wants the repairs done there. You can go to any shop you like. I believe it is illegal for an adjustor to advise you what shop to use. They just have to be in market range for the repair cost.

They just have to be in market range for the repair cost. They had me go there for the estimate and said they would warranty the work if done there. I have the option to take the check anywhere I like though.

Econo repairs. I had some sideswipe damage repaired at one many years ago. Cut rate. Paint not blended well. Maybe they have gotten better, I dunno.

They did a good job on the repairs but, used after market parts (never a perfect match) and the over spray under the hood was bad. I would use a dealer if I had to do it again.

take it to a dealer for repairs, they will warranty them as well. This!!! You don'y want crappie after market parts and some of those sketchy places have installed used parts. Dealer is the only way to go. Your choice.

I think the law requires they use OEM parts unless you agree to get a better deal. I used a repair shop that was in my insurance companies preferred list. The advantage was they had a contact and there was never any concerns about any extras that came up. It was a chain but not service king.

LKQ. Like kind and quality. Its your insurance carriers policies that determine what parts are used. Allstate require LKQ when available. Others wont allow LKQ parts. It just depends on what insurance company youre with.
