Lol there may be some people that wont believe that someone other than Ike has ever thrown a fit after losing a fish, because no one on here has ever done anything like it, we are all perfect.

But no joke if Ike has issues he needs to get help, I have seen him years ago at a top 100 or what ever B.A.S.S. called it then make a point to get autograph signed to the kids that wanted it. It was on Lewisville when on the final day the top12 fished in a certain part of the lake and they rotated all day.

I wonder if Ike screams, break dances, and acts so foolish when the cameras aren't around. I doubt it. The temper is probably not a show, but I think all the rest is. I don't enjoy it, but to each his own. Most of his training videos are quite good, and well spoken. I, for one, would like it better if this was the personality he presented on camera all the time.

No doubt. I watched Lonnie Stanley have a world class on the water meltdown that would put Ike's antics to shame. Wasn't long after that he pretty much gave up tournament fishing to focus on lure making. Likely a good career move on his part. roflmao

I boat flipped a 4+ lb fish last year in a club tourney only to watch my line break as he hit the deck. He quickly flopped out of the boat and I yelled out an F-bomb probably heard by other fishermen. I wasn't even fishing for $100k. I'm sure if I was fishing for $100k, it wouldn't have bothered me nearly as much..........................

I have learned to check my line more often and retie when needed. Oh, and I don't have carpet...............

Hey Sprigsss......The loud F bomb was not nearly as offensive to me as your attempt of the one handed break dance on the front deck.....I mean, damn....

There's a lot of perfect human beings on this forum. It's odd to read how they have never had a problem or issue their entire life, but I suppose it's well in their right to judge everyone else if that's the case. confused

Mike..get the help you need and become the "old" Mike who wins. You have always been loud, and for our youth. Get back to your basics and you will be fine.

I have had 2 melt downs on the water but they were both when I was younger. First one was when my trolling motor caught fire while on a massive school of hybrids! I wasn't mad at the trolling motor catching fire, I was mad that I was going to have to leave a epic school of fish that I had all to ourselves. I took my frustration out on the guy that was in the boat that day and thankfully he forgave me for it.

The second time was on a windy day on Ray Hubbard. I knew the fish were going to be stacked on a certain point so me and another guy grabbed the boat and put it in the water just to fish this one specific spot that we knew ahead of time was going to be right in the wind and be a challenge to fish when we got there. As soon as we pulled up all he did was complain about the wind about every 10 seconds despite both of us hooking up with 4+ pound fish on our first casts. Couple of fish later and with him still complaining I said lets go! And we put the boat back on the trailer and left. It was hard enough dealing with the wind but dealing with him complaining non stop about it too was more than I could take. I was very calm on the outside but was fuming on the inside that day! I fished all by myself for many years after that.

Now days I am more mellow and it takes a heck of a lot more to get me all worked up. Guess that comes with age.

I say all that because I understand the emotion that Ike might feel sometimes. As a professional and with all eyes and cameras on you, you have to learn to contain that though.

Ikes behavior the last 20 years is a choice. By all accounts he is a functional human being in all aspects of life except sports. We used to call that a poor sport, immature, or classless. Guess in 2019 its some clinical issue and we should all take pity on him. This is just a PR stunt to appease sponsors. Its a common misdirection to get out from the weight of their actions. We see it in all sports.

And yes, we are judging him and as members of a society its well in our right. We are all judged by our actions in situations.
