Why's it dark out?? You spotlighting crappie?? We went out Friday night before the front moved through...I know the big fish are there and i wanted to try something different with the warmer water...I actually drifted slip corks set 7' deep over the edge of a ledge ..it was fun ...Hey Dale and Mike i have lost 20lbs since you last saw me...thats why i look so young and debonair.

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Troy told me your supposed to feed the crappie nibbles to the minners so they taste better to the crappie. The surprising part is, it really works.

What else can you do with them? ^\/ x I x Seems like most people just end up mashing them into the carpet on the boat, except you dont have carpet on your boat, so I guess feeding them to the minnows is your best option!

I don't mean to sound cliche here but some of you guys need to "come out of the minnow bucket"...just go ahead and except what you are and quit fighting it...

I ain't proud; I'll use whatever catches 'em so long as it's legal. I've got my minner cooler sitting right up on the deck for all to see. Not like some people who keep the minners hidden in the boat compartment.

If you're gonna buy minners at Fuglers you better go up to a little heavier fishing line....they're huge! The last crappie I caught on one, the minner had it in a headlock.

Ive seen many a cork go under on my line with a shiner attached to a gold hook on the other end....... in fact theres nothing quite like watching a cork go down.

Menners? Seriously, they do make good chum, if you dice them up and toss them overboard! Yea Ken, Im with you, I use whatever works too...fortunately, it always seems like those baits sold by Tbox (Belinda), Laner, or Abbott, are more than enough to be considered whatever works. Of course, every now and then I will grab one of Joshes baits, or some of my Jiggum Jigs stash, but normally, that is enough to satisfy those sometime finicky crappie. And if you ever spy me reaching for the Slab slobber or heaven help me, Crappie nibbles, then you know I have basically run out of ideas, and am just about to head home. Well, Ill be danged, I couldnt even find a menner bucket, either in the garage or in the boats, in operable condition, so I guess its been awhile, since I used any menners. Oh yea, now I remember, I used a couple one time when Troy and I were fishing. However, I do understand most of the tourney guys use menners (this Is my shout out to UJC, and Chris H2O) although I dont think TBox would ever resort to minnow use... Seriously though, the stuff I fish is not conducive to fishing minnows, so I dont even bother to mess with them.
